Known for her ability to create a flawless natural beauty with an expressive kick, Meli Pennington has charted a uniquely successful path in the world of fashion and beauty makeup.

    After moving to New York to begin work as a makeup artist, Meli was soon invited to assist Dick Page, becoming his first assistant at photo shoots and fashion shows in New York, Paris, and Milan.

    On her own Meli has worked with an extraordinary range of photographers, from fashion heavyweights Patrick Demarchelier and Arthur Elgort to fine art innovators Ryan McGinley and Stephen Gill. Other world-renowned photographers who have requested her include Saitoshi Saikusa, Nicholas Moore, Vincent Peters, Jenny Gage/Tom Betterton and Nick Haymes. Her work has been featured in the pages of magazines ranging from Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour,and Allure to V, i-D, and Nylon. She also worked as a producer and key makeup artist on the full-length feature All That Glitters.

    In 2014 Meli was named Director of Makeup Artistry at Kokko Inc., a color accuracy technology startup based in Los Altos, CA and NYC, where she is providing creative direction for a soon-to-be-released IOS Beauty app.

    Meli is also the editor of Wild Beauty, where she writes about beauty and culture.

     Meli’s educational background includes an undergraduate Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University, Color Theory studies in Italy, and an MBA in Entertainment/Arts Media from Metropolitan College of New York.
